MenzShed Morrinsville
We provide a safe supportive and friendly environment for men to gather, volunteer, work, learn, teach and seek fellowship with other like-minded people.
We take on community and personal projects, for example, restoring your favourite chair, building you a new desk or creating new display.
While we have to charge out material and workshop costs, our time and experience is volunteered
History
The Menzshed movement was set up to provide a place for men to enjoy each others company, share experiences, learn new skills, help the community, and develop friendships. The Morrinsville Menzshed was set up in 2014 with the help of the Morrinsville Rotary Club. We are affiliated to Menzshed New Zealand and are incorperated society and registered charity. #....
The late Markus Clark offered us his workshop to rent and that has got us to where we are today. We have a strong woodworking side and an engineering side that is presently quite stiflied due to a lack of space.
We have enjoyed the support of the local business community since our inception. (Please see credits.) To this end we will not do work competing with local business.
Meet some of the team
Collectively, the group at Morrinsville Menzshed have more years of experience between them than you could poke a stick at, and that was before we tackled some of our most challenging projects.
If you have something in mind, contact the shed and we will help if we can.

Community Support
We donate our time and expertise to support the Morrinsville community.
Besides the costs of materials used, our workshop time is charged out at a rate to cover costs. In doing this we have been able to give back to the community by doing projects for kindergartens and pre-schools, primary schools, the Wallace Gallery, Senior Citizens Assn., Scouts, and Guides.
We have provided instructional DIY nights for women, as well as short term project nights for women and project evenings for Scouts and Guides.
